Consonants b and dBlended with Short Vowels, and Final Consonants

Objective:                
The student(s) will be able to correctly produce the short vowel sound(s) a, e, i, o, u, and consonants b--z.
The student(s) will be able to blend the sound of a syllable or word when given consonants and short vowelsin the cvc order.
Prerequisite:

The student must be able to repeat short vowel sounds, and the alphabets.

The teacher will lead the students in a rhyming rhythm of consonant and vowel sounds.  (In the Rhythm and Rhyme you can clap your hands for a rhythm, or you may want to refer to the optional audiocassette tape at this point to hear the Rhythm and Rhymes sounds.  Also for kinesthetic effect youcan stand and move your feet from side to side.)
